Through Resolution No. 93503 of 2018, the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC) fixed the operating income and total assets that must be considered during 2019 to inform or notify transactions through merger control procedures. The threshold to determine which transactions must be informed or notified this year is at 60,000 monthly legal minimum wages. In Colombian pesos, this figure is equivalent to COP49,686,960,000, which is in turn equivalent to approximately USD16,014,568.38 (at current exchange rates). The SIC therefore maintained the same threshold that was applicable in 2017 and 2018 for merger control procedures.
