29 Apr Three video conferences of Juan David Gutiérrez, partner of Avante Abogados, on the Colombian General Code of Process
During 2011 and 2012, Juan David Gutiérrez led the Technical Secretariat of the Review Commission for the draft bill of the Colombian General Code of Process with Nicolás Pájaro.
As a counselor to the Ministry of Justice and after that, as the Director of Formal and Jurisdictional Justice of the Ministry of Justice, Juan David participated in the drafting of the Code’s bill and in the disclosure of its content (Law 1564 of 2012) in different academic and professional contexts.
Below we share three video-conferences of our partner Juan David Gutiérrez that address different topics of the Colombian General Code of Process: 1) Decisions of the Constitutional Court in which the Code’s constitutionality was analyzed, 2) Reforms on actions of the Public Ministry and of court auxiliaries, and 3) the new regime of forensic/technical examination as a means of evidence.
