Within the last years, the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC) has been focused on investigating anti-competitive practices in the markets for public procurement. Since the creation of the “Specialized Working Group against Bid Rigging in Public Procurement”, the Division for the Protection of Competition has issued more motivated reports on these practices than the total amount of motivated reports issued by the SIC in its history.

This article relates to the work of the Specialized Working Group against Big Rigging in Public Procurement, and was written for the American Bar Association.
